JENA (KALB) -- It has been a tough title defense for the Jena Giants, both figuratively and literally. Not only did they start off the district 3-3A slate with a loss, but the injuries have been piling up as well, having been forced to sit out multiple running backs through these first seven weeks.
But now on the mend heading into week eight, Jay Roark believes this is the healthiest his team has been since the season opener against Winnfield, which is also the game that Roark thinks has been Jena's best played game to date. The Giants are set for a big match-up on Friday against a Marksville team that is trying to take back the district 3-3A crown.
Kick-off from Jena is set for 7:00 p.m. and is the 5th Quarter Game of the Week.
