LEESVILLE (KALB Sports) -- Despite having just lost to one team in the last 15 months, the Leesville high school football team is taking everything in stride. Head coach Robert Causey is quick to remind his players that what the Wampus Cats accomplished last year, a district 3-4A title and second round playoff appearance, doesn't mean much if they don't take care of business this year.
So far, that plan has worked with the Wampus Cats undefeated through three games this season, not having much trouble with what seemed to be a challenging pre-district schedule. But Causey believes the toughest test for his team is coming up next with class 5A opponent Pineville.
Kick-off from Leesville is set for 7 p.m. and is the 5th Quarter Game of the Week.
