Fast forward things to now, the team doesn't look much different.

They will feature players like two-sports athlete and Ole Miss baseball commit Blake McGehee and University of New Orleans baseball commit Issac Winn.

Head Coach David Montiel says that the core of this team is closely similar to what they've had before after only losing 4 seniors.

"These guys know what it takes to go out there and get it done," Montiel said. "They know the things that they need to improve on."

The only difference is this: everyone in Class 4A is going to want a shot at the champs.

For Tioga, they believe chemistry is the key to their success.

"We've got a new set of players," McGehee said. "We've got to find the chemistry, figure out what works, and just play our best baseball to win."

"I think we just need to get the chemistry going real early," Winn said. "Last year we were 0-5, but I feel like we'll be unstoppable this season just like last season. "
