PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - The Louisiana College Wildcats basketball team hosted Centenary College on Tuesday night over in Pineville.
Things started off a little shaky for the Wildcats. Their shots simply weren't sinking, and they shot 27 percent from the free-throw line in the first half.
Ultimately, physicality and grit are what this game came down to.
In the end, the Wildcats would go on to win 71 to 66.
“We thought we were more physical than they were and we wanted to take advantage of that,” said Head Coach Reni Mason. “I've got a veteran group of guards that have been in battles before and I challenge them to take on that. So, we made plays down the stretch and that's what wins basketball games.”
