LSUA Walks it, Like they Talk it

ALEXANDRIA, La (KALB) - LSUA walks it like they talk it.

Basketball is back, and the LSUA generals are expecting this season to be even better.

This week, LSUA hosts William Cary for their first home game of the season.

“We have been banged up a little bit with the injury bug, but I think we are pretty healthy right now.” head coach Larry Cordaro said. “We'll be missing one key player on Wednesday, but somebody is going to have to step up. I believe our depths will,” he added.

The Generals walk in at No. 6 in the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball rankings, while William Carey is also sharing a spot in the top 10 at No. 7.

“The guys that are on this team know what the high standard is, so we will be prepared,” freshman guard Dustin Roy says.

Last year, LSUA finished with a 30-4 overall record and 17-1 in conference play. With having to play a top ten team so early in their schedule, it will be a test to see where they stand.

“We know that we have talent on our roster, but we want to have tough players mentally and physically,” Cordaro says.

The game is set for Wednesday, October 30th, at 6 p.m.
