LSUA hits road as conference play looms

ALEXANDRIA (KALB) -- There was no easing into the 2018-19 season for the LSUA men's basketball team. A tough out of conference schedule that includes meetings with seven ranked opponents was a conscious choice by head coach Larry Codaro.

Hoping to test his team in many facets before opening up Red River Athletic Conference play, the second-ranked Generals passed with flying colors for the most part, going 6-1 with the only loss coming at home against #11 Dillard.

The Generals will have their shot at revenge this Friday when they travel to New Orleans to face those same Bleu Devils for the second time in two weeks. The two teams will tip-off Friday at 5:30 p.m. as part of the Classic on the Oaks invitational hosted by Dillard. LSUA will then face Southern-New Orleans on Saturday.
