LSUA named a top seed in NAIA Tournament

ALEXANDRIA (KALB) -- With the memory of losing at the buzzer still fresh in their minds, the LSUA men's basketball team is ready to finally rectify that.

On Wednesday, the Generals enjoyed a meal with fans at Walk-Ons and learned who their first opponent in Kansas City, MO will be. Entering the bracket as one of the four top seeds, LSUA will face #8 Central Baptist College next Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the first round.

Head coach Larry Cordaro is hoping that the program's fifth trip to the tournament will be the charm. Dating back to 2014, LSUA has advanced one round further in the tournament each year. If that trend continues, it would mean that the Generals will be hoisting the trophy in the end, after losing in the finals last year on a last second shot by Graceland.
