LEESVILLE, La (KALB) - Leesville will host the number one seeded Lakeshore Titans in the second round. However, they aren't worried about the seedings.
After the Wampus Cats walked all over Pearl River, 47 to 21, they are feeling confident heading into the second round of the playoffs.
"I think we have a chance just like anybody," Head Coach Robbie Causey said. "The first round is where a lot of your upsets happen, and I tell the kids all that it's an honor to be in the second round," Causey added.
Lakeshore is walking in undefeated, with an 11-0 record after beating Istrouma 50-0 in the first round.
The Titans have one of their best teams in school history, but the Wampus Cats hope to execute their game plan to knock them off their pedal stool.
"Our focus isn't necessarily on Lakeshore because they're going to do what they do," Causey said. "Our goal is to focus on us and do the things that we have to do," he added.
The game is set for Friday at 7 pm.
