Many Head Coach Jess Curtis was emotional after Friday night's semi-final contest against Welsh, and for good reason. For the second consecutive season, the Greyhounds defeated Many in the semi-finals.

For Many, it was a tale of two halves.

The first half saw the Tigers get out to a 21-7 lead with time expiring in the first half, with a botched Welsh snap and Many recovery setting up a short Terrence Williams touchdown.

But the Greyhounds wouldn't go quietly. They answered right back, with quarterback Austin Benoit hitting Daren Zeno for a touchdown on fourth and goal to draw within seven points before intermission.

The Greyhounds would finish the game on a 21-0 run en route to the 28-21 victory.

"Tip your hat to them, that's what the score should be in this game in the third quarter, 21-21," said Curtis. "We just didn't make enough plays in the second half. I know how bad these kids wanted this. Just wish we could have gotten it done."
