Many's monster backfield shines in postseason

VIDALIA, La. (KALB) The Many Tigers are advancing to their third straight semi-final game. A big reason why? Their stellar running back tandem. Terrence Williams rushed 12 times for 237 yards and Ni’kendrick Carter had seven carries for 140 yards with both backs having two touchdowns a piece in their 35-0 drubbing of the Vidalia Vikings.

After the game, Carter was proud of his team’s performance and spoke on his peculiar first touchdown.

“Gotta give credit to the o-lineman, we worked hard all week and we came out here to play ball. We knew it was going to be muddy, we practice in this all the time,” said Carter. “And then that, the run, I just hit a spin move, bounced, didn't hear a whistle, just kept my legs pumping, and that's what it was all about. Six points.”

When asked if that was the easiest touchdown he’s scored this year, he didn’t hesitate with his answer.

“Most definitely, easiest touchdown of the season. Six points is six points, though.”

Things look to be more difficult next week, as the Tigers will get to host the Welsh Greyhounds, a team that defeated them 28-18 in the 2017 semi-finals.
