Moore, Brown, and Miller headline Athlete of the Week finalists

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – ASH’s Derrald Moore, Tioga’s Kaitlyn Brown, and Marksville’s Daniel Miller are the finalists for the ACA Athlete of the Week.

Derrald Moore had 8 catches for 154 yards and the game-winning touchdown in ASH's win over Ruston.

I've just been working,” Moore said. “That’s what happens when you get up and go to work every day. I’ll just have to keep going to work and showing up to work every day.”

Kaitlyn Brown came in 1st during the John C. Miller cross-country meet a couple of weeks ago, not to mention that she did it in a race with 129 other girls.

“We had just finished basketball practice, and I was jumping up and down because I was so excited,” Brown said. “I knew I would be up against football players and probably be one of the only girls.”

Finally, Daniel Miller stepped up big replacing injured quarterback John Small, leading the Tigers to a win over the Menard Eagles.

“It means a lot,” Miller said. “I just try to put my team in the best possible position to win, and I’ll do whatever I have to do to get that done. I also have playmakers around me that help me to be able to put up those type of numbers up.”
