PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - The Pineville Rebels didn't have to look far for their new head coach. In fact, they didn't even have to leave the building.

After handing him the interim head coaching tag in the wake of previous head coach Dennis Dunn's resignation last month, Pineville promoted Darin Moore to be the team's next head coach.
Moore served as the run-game coordinator for the Rebels during the '18 season, while serving as the head coach for False River before ending up at Pineville.
Moore, who played his college ball at Louisiana College under Dunn, is excited to step into the role.
"I've treated this position as mine since they named me interim head coach," says Moore. "We've had a great spring and we've really hit the ground running. It's good for the kids, too. They can now relax and just focus on football."
Pineville opens the 2019 season at home versus Southwood on Friday, September 6.
