NEW ORLEANS, La. (WVUE) - The Saints have signed veteran safety D.J. Swearinger. Swearinger is a seven-year pro that played for both Oakland and Arizona this season.

Prior to that, in two seasons with Washington, Swearinger had eight interceptions. His signing comes as the Saints are dealing with some injuries at the position. Vonn Bell and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson both were estimated to not practice during the Saints walk-through Wednesday.
To make room for Swearinger, the Saints waived safety T.J. Green.
