Top Five Plays from High School Football Week 3
They say time flies by when you're having fun. Well, the past three weeks have been a blast, and we sit now a third of the way through the high school football season. Time may be flying by, but these next plays are sure to stick in your memory for years to come.
In the eternal words of Drake's "Jumpman", well, he's always up to something, and Benton's Celdric Moody, he hangs up in the air for what seems like a lifetime before coming back down to Earth with us mere mortals. Moody tacked on a pair of touchdowns and the Tigers took down the Indians a the Reservation.
It takes a lot to get one by one of our professional camera men. Ok, not really, but even still, Daniel Miller, sneaking by defenders and taking this one to the endzone is no small feat.
Bolton hosted Northwood Friday night, and the game played like a Bears highlight tape, and this Jermaine Hammond punt return would be play numero-uno on said tape. Bolton would win big to climb to 2-1.
Marksville makes the list twice this week, and with the effort on this play, its easy to see why. Defenders hold up the receiver, and then swipe the ball out of the receivers hands. Marksville recovers, but can't get the victory at home over Lutcher.
I have a soft spot for trick plays. A lot is at stake, and it takes perfect execution, or the offense faces potential disaster. You wouldn't know that watching this play, that find last week's Athlete of the Week Ben West finding his wide-out Jacob Sylvia who THEN finds wide-receiver Darnell Bayone. Pineville wins the game, and they top the week three list.
