Here we are, folks. The halfway point of the 2018 season. We've already played five, count'm, FIVE games. Before you know it, we'll be in the postseason. But, before that, district play starts for many teams next week. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though. Week Five saw some amazing plays from some stellar local talent. Let's take a look at the top five plays from High School Football Week Five.

Y'all. Did you see LaSalle? They were having a ball. More specifically, Blade Beabeouf. The quarterback took the snap, made one move, and it was all green grass in front of him. LaSalle notched their first victory of the season in the process.
Punt returns are (sometimes) fun
Many had many (see what I did there?) amazing plays from their 52-0 rout of Carrol, but none were as fun as Carson Curtis, zigging and zagging his way to the end-zone on this punt return TD. Who said punt-returns weren't fun?!
Rosepine keeps on rolling
Rosepine has been putting together a nice season, sitting at 5-0 at the half-way point. With throws like this from Seth Decote, who throws an absolute bomb to his wide-receiver, it's probably safe to assume they will continue to be successful in the coming weeks.
Barton dropping dimes
ASH dominated Jena in our Game of the Week, and you can, in part, thank quarterback Judd Barton for that. Barton was dropping dimes all over the field Friday night, none as impressive as this 46 yard touchdown strike to Derald Moore. ASH would go on to win big, setting up a very interesting slate of district games for Trojans fans.
The (Freddie) Price is Right
We've sang the praises of last week's Athlete of the Week Judd Barton, now let's throw some love over to his skill guys, more specifically, Freddie Price, who takes a completion in the flats all the way to the end-zone for 62 yards. You already know how this game ends. Now you also know that Freddie Price is a beast.
