PINEVILLE, LA (KALB) - On the campus of Louisiana College, the Wildcats are in the middle of fall camp, with preparations well underway for the season opener two weeks away at Alcorn St. Fall camp has also revealed the depth the Wildcats have at several key positions: wide receiver, running back, and offensive line. With that depth comes position battles, and some of those battles, according to second year head coach Justin Charles, may have been won during the teams scrimmage Friday evening.
“Yesterday we had a few guys step up on the offensive side of the ball, we think our offensive line is very capable of getting the job done, whether its the top eight or the top five, we got eight that we think can do it,” said Charles. “Also at the running back spot, we are trying to find who our two and three guy is gonna be, and so we are going to have about four or five running backs that are going to be a force to be reckoned with here in the future.”
The Wildcats open up the 2018 season on September 8, on the road at Alcorn St.
