PINEVILLE, LA (KALB) - When the Louisiana College Wildcats take the field against Alcorn State, they will look different on defense than they have in years past.

The Wildcats have made a scheme change in their style of play, switching from a 4-2-5 look to a 3-4 defensive front. Adding an extra linebacker to the mix for additional run support, defensive coordinator Nate Janzen believes that the switch to the 3-4 defense will help the Wildcats out in the long run.
"With our defensive line being so young and not having much game experience on Saturdays, we're putting that extra linebacker in," said Janzen. " Hopefully those guys will be experienced enough to have some good speed and be able to get to the ball."
The Wildcats will be on the road next Saturday for their contest against Alcorn St.
