For the first time since the turn of the century, the Leesville High School football team is practicing over the Thanksgiving break. Into the quarterfinals, the sixth-seed Wampus Cats are preparing to head down to #3 St. Martinville this Friday in a battle of unbeaten teams in Class 4A.
The Louisiana College women's basketball team took on Birmingham-Southern College on Tuesday night to finish off their first long road trip of the season. The Wildcats had dominant second and fourth quarters in route to a 66-51 road win over the Panthers. The win improves the Wildcats to 3-1 on the season with a trip to Abilene next on their schedule as they begin American Southwest Conference play next week.
