Dollar Tree employee arrested for arson after store fire causes $1.5 million in damages

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB/Gray News) – A Dollar Tree employee in Louisiana is accused of setting the store on fire last month, officials said.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, Keiresten Dunn, 19, was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated arson.

Fire crews responded to the fire at the Dollar Tree on Greenwell Springs Road in Baton Rouge on March 24.

While a sprinkler system helped keep the fire under control, the flames still caused about $1.5 million in damage to the store.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

The store is still closed.
