PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - Pineville library branches united to get students invested in the new school year, on Saturday.

The Martin, Robertson and Libuse Branches held a back to school bash inside Pineville Elementary School.

The libraries provided school supplies to students. They also had community organizations like scouts, United Way, school resource officers and more available to share information with all families in attendance.

Staff said it's a great way to kick off the new school year.

"We have resources for everything the library can offer throughout the school year," said Direct Service Coordinator Lenna Mouton. "So, we have volunteers like Gavin with the boy scouts that is here to help us put it all together. So, this has been a fun time that we enjoy having every year."

This was the fourth time for the Pineville library community collaboration.
