Guillory hopes others learn about him through short film

Pineville's Kamea Jones and ASH's Jacobian Guillory are hopeful that their hard work towards producing a movie will have its chance to come to fruition.

, the premiere date was set for March 26, but COVID-19 slowed down the process.

"When Kamea asked me if I wanted to do it, I was all on board," Guillory said. "We've been friends for a while and when she asked me, it was obviously a yes because of what it’s going towards."

“It's been really hard,” Jones said. “I've had all of this planned, ready to finish, and then this happened.”

Jones has sold $5 tickets with proceeds going to the Autism Society. She says she doesn't know when the film will happen but will finish the project no matter what.

“I'm still going to finish it even if it's not a part of my senior project,” Jones.

Jones and Guillory have hopes that those who see the film will understand Jacobian a little better.

"I want them to see that he’s still a teenager," Jones said. "He’s not always 'Big Tank.'"

"I want them to get to know more about me," Guillory said. "I want them to see what I go through mentally, physically, and to see that I’m more than just the football star."

In buying a ticket, people have the chance to possibly win a prize. Three tickets have writing on the back of them (gold, silver, bronze).

The golden ticket holder will win a pair of Air Pod Pros. The silver ticket holder will win a pair of Air Pods. The bronze ticket holder will win an All-American card signed by Guillory.
