Acadian Ambulance CEO, founder passes away from cancer; services announced

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The CEO and founder of Acadian Ambulance, Richard Emery Zuschlag, passed away from cancer on Wednesday, June 5, the company announced.

Acadian Ambulance announced visitation and services for Zuschlag will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette. Visitation is on Tuesday, June 11, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m., and on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 8 a.m. until the service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.

The service will also be live-streamed at www.Acadian.com/Richard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Zuschlag’s honor be made to Coeurs D’Acadian.
