WEST FELICIANA PARISH, La. (WAFB) - The West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested three suspects for their alleged involvement in the shooting death of a missing former Southern University student.

Derek Terrell Hollins Jr., 21, of St. Francisville, Calajia Jack, 20, of St. Francisville and Allyah Martin, 21, of Zachary are facing charges of first-degree murder in Wilkinson County, Mississippi. The group is also charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in West Feliciana Parish. Hollins was also charged with possession of a machine gun, officials said.

Officials confirmed that Allyah Martin and the victim, Steven Harris IV, were co-parents. They both were due in court on July 18, for a custody matter. Harris’s family members became suspicious when he did not come home to appear for the hearing.

Harris IV was reported missing by family members on Wednesday, July 17. Shortly after, deputies say Harris’s body was found Tuesday, July 23, in Wilkinson County, Mississippi.

The Wilkinson County coroner confirmed he was shot multiple times.

Officials said they believe all three suspects conspired to lure Harris to a certain location and used a handgun with a switch in full auto mode to kill Harris.

The following bond has been set for the trio; Hollins $450K; Martin 350K; and Jack 365K, according to the West Feliciana Sheriff’s Office.

All three suspects are currently being held at the West Feliciana Parish Jail awaiting extradition proceedings before they will be transported to Mississippi where they will be facing first-degree murder charges.

Spillman said this is still an ongoing investigation and encourages anyone with information in this case to contact the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office.

Southern University and the Southern University Human Jukebox extended its condolences to Harris’s loved ones.
