Grocery store employee accused of inappropriately filming young girl arrested
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A man on probation for video voyeurism is behind bars after he allegedly inappropriately filmed a young girl who was shopping with her mother at the grocery store where he worked.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, officers arrested Jonathan Isaac Gibbs, 24, of Baton Rouge, on Monday, Aug. 12, on charges of video voyeurism and indecent behavior with juveniles for an incident that happened at Hi Nabor on Winbourne Avenue.
According to the arrest warrant, a customer complained to store management that on Monday, Aug. 5, an employee, later identified as Gibbs, followed the family around the store for nearly a half hour, inappropriately filming her 9-year-old daughter.
He allegedly placed his cell phone on the ground to record up the victim’s skirt on several occasions throughout the store.
According to the arrest warrant, store management reviewed video surveillance and allegedly observed the wrongdoing.
Arrest records show Gibbs is currently on probation for a similar charge in 2021.
Gibbs was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
