Officials release identity of person found dead in Mississippi River
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - An investigation is underway after a body was discovered in the Mississippi River on Tuesday morning, April 1.
The East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office confirmed that investigators were notified around 8 a.m. and have been called to the scene in the 200 block of South River Road.
According to the coroner, the person has been identified as Adrian Ramirez, 24, of Dallas. Officials said the cause and manner of death are still under investigation.



The Baton Rouge Fire Department helped to recover the body.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and EMS also responded to the scene in downtown Baton Rouge.
