Alexandria man arrested on drug, weapon charges
ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of an Alexandria man on Thursday, September 18.
RPSO said Christopher Allen, 35, of Alexandria was arrested on September 16, following a traffic stop on Masonic Drive.

Deputies with Rapides Area Drug Enforcement reportedly pulled over a car after they spotted Allen in the passenger seat. RPSO said Allen had an active arrest warrant for distribution of CDS II.
RPSO said Allen was arrested without incident and the driver was released from the scene.
Authorities said they searched Allen and found about three ounces of methamphetamine and over $2,000 in cash. RADE later searched Allen’s residence, where they found seven more ounces of methamphetamine, four ounces of marijuana, 17 grams of ecstasy and three guns.

Authorities said Allen was not allowed to own guns due to a prior felony conviction.
Allen was booked into Rapides Parish Detention Center with a $145,000 bond and faces the following charges:
- Distribution of CDS II arrest warrants
- two counts of Possession of CDS II (Methamphetamines)
- Possession of CDS I (Marijuana) < 2.5 pounds
- Possession of CDS I (Ecstasy) < 28 grams
- three counts of Illegal Carry of Firearms with Illegal Drugs
- three counts Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses
RPSO said they also seized a large amount of cash they beleive to be revenue from selling drugs and so provided Allen paperwork for Civil Asset Forfeiture.
RPSO said an investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
