PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - Louisiana Health and Rehab Center held a grand opening of its Restore Recovery Center in Pineville on January 8.

LHRC said the recovery center will provide quality, comprehensive residential treatment to substance use-disordered pregnant women, and women with dependent children under 12 years old in a safe, caring and supportive environment.

According to LHRC, services focus on women developing and maintaining a healthy and safe alcohol and drug-free lifestyle, with emphasis on compassionate attention to gender-specific issues.

Tameka Blakes, the executive director, said that this program helps these women get connected to any resources they may need.

“We are in partnership with the Office of Behavioral Health, Central Louisiana Human Services District and Department of Children and Family Services,” she said. “Services offered are substance abuse counseling, individual and group, five days a week, life skills training, parenting classes and referral to community resources as well as any type of medication management in connection to PCP care if needed.”
