Digital Anchor/Producer
Victoria Watson

A proud South Louisiana native, Victoria brought her bayou roots from New Iberia to Cenla when she joined KALB in September 2023 as an intern. What started behind the scenes quickly turned into a full-time role, and a front-facing one, when she became a multimedia journalist and producer in May 2024 after graduating from Louisiana Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Convergence Media: Journalism and a minor in History.

Today, Victoria is part of the team helping shape KALB’s digital-first future. In September 2025, she became the host of “Coffee Break,” a weekday streaming newscast airing at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on KALB.com and streaming platforms. Built for viewers on the go, “Coffee Break” delivers timely updates, community stories and conversations in a format designed for wherever your day takes you, whether that’s at your desk, in the carpool line or grabbing a mid-morning latte.

Whether she’s anchoring online, producing behind the scenes, engaging with viewers or chasing down a story in the field, Victoria is passionate about making local news accessible, clear and connected to the community she now calls home.

When she’s not in the newsroom, in front of the camera or behind it, you’ll likely find her reading a good book, playing video games or spending time with family and friends. At home, she answers to two very opinionated cats, Garfield and Lincoln, who firmly believe they run the house.

Have a story idea or something happening in the community? Victoria would love to hear from you.
