Recapping the 2025 Children’s Miracle Network MediaThon
ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - On January 28, the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) held its annual MediaThon.
The money raised from the MediaThon will stay local and provide lifesaving care, services and equipment for children through CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital’s pediatric therapy center, neonatal ICU, and pediatric, labor and delivery and school-based health centers.
During the MediaThon, KALB spoke with Kimmie Moss, the mom of miracle child Kamryn, about how CMN has had an impact on their lives.
“[Kamryn] had dysphasia, which was problems swallowing and required her to use E-stim therapy and speech therapy,” said Moss. “She had low muscle tone due to being failure to thrive, so she did PT and OT as well. When she started, she was not walking, talking, crawling or anything, and she was already a year old. As a mom, that’s pretty scary to not see her hit milestones. But thankfully, with therapy, she is now running, playing and flipping and all the things”
The MediaThon’s original goal was $60,000. Once they reached that goal, they started aiming for $65,000. At the end of the day, the MediaThon surpassed both set goals and raised a total of $68,038 to continue to change the lives of Central Louisiana families!
