LSUA fraternity hosting 5K run and festival to benefit Wounded Warrior Project
ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - The Kappa Sigma fraternity at LSUA is hosting its first-ever 5K run and community festival on April 18 at 7:30 a.m. on campus.
Attendees can expect food and craft vendors and a kid zone for families.
Fort Polk is planning a flyover with Blackhawk and Lakota helicopters before and after the race.
Organizers shared that the goal is to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
“Our veterans are sometimes taken for granted in our community, and we really want to show them thanks for all they do,” said Clayton Baden, President of Kappa Sigma. “We would not have a free country without our veterans, and we just really want to show our entire campus and our entire community how much we should be thankful for them.”
Admission to the festival is free, but there is a fee to run in the 5K. CLICK HERE to learn more.
