Robert LaPerle joined KALB in December 2023 as the primary news producer for Louisiana Latest (KALB's CBS show that airs at 6:30 p.m.) In 2025, he transitioned to being the station's official investigative reporter. He also fills in as an anchor on both on air and digital newscasts.

Rob attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and earned the “Engaged Citizen” award through LSU’s Center for Community Engagement, Learning, and Leadership, due to his volunteer work as a teacher around the Baton Rouge region.
When he’s not watching horror films or playing video games, he enjoys reading books on political science or cultural entertainment.
